Ambulatory equine practice
We have turned our passion for horses into our profession. We come to your yard to keep your horse healthy, athletic and happy.

Services
We visit you at your yard or farm. Tap each service for details.
Digestive, respiratory, skin and internal medicine problems.
General medicine is the foundation of equine practice. We are available for any consultation, particularly internal medicine. Whether the problem is digestive, respiratory, dermatological or of any other kind, please get in touch to book an appointment and a thorough work-up of your horse.
Lameness work-ups and poor performance investigations.
The performance demanded of our horses keeps rising, and they need a vet who helps them reach their full potential. We offer lameness diagnosis, ultrasound, digital radiography and investigation of poor performance.
Gynaecology, stallion work, foaling, insemination and embryo transfer.
We offer a full range of gynaecology, andrology and obstetrics services. As well as pregnancy diagnosis and monitoring, investigation of gynaecological problems and artificial insemination, we provide semen collection, evaluation, chilling and sale of chilled semen, and embryo transfer.
Preventive dental care to catch problems early.
Even if your horse is healthy, dental care is essential. Caught early, many problems can be solved quickly and affordably. That is why Vetequus is committed to preventive care.
Digital radiography and ultrasound at your yard.
Digital radiography and ultrasound allow us to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions: lameness, monitoring of musculoskeletal problems, laminitis assessment, orthopaedic care, reproductive assessment and more.
A full static and dynamic assessment before you buy.
A pre-purchase examination establishes the horse’s current health for both buyer and seller. It includes a static examination (digestive, respiratory, skin, eyes, teeth, palpation of limbs, back and neck) and a dynamic one (flexion tests, lameness assessment, exercise tests), supported by radiographs, laboratory tests where anything is suspected, and reproductive examinations for breeding animals.
Vaccination, worming, nutrition and management.
Advice on preventing all kinds of disease. Vaccination and worming programmes against the most common infectious diseases (equine influenza, tetanus, West Nile virus…). Nutritional, dental and management measures to prevent digestive problems (colic), respiratory problems and allergies. Prevention is the best way to save money and protect your horse’s health.
Microchips, passports, change of ownership and transport.
Markings charts, microchipping and handling of equine passport (DIE) applications, changes of ownership, transport documents and holding registers. We have an excellent relationship with the authorities and breeders’ associations, which speeds up all your paperwork.
For studs, equestrian centres, breeding seasons, pre-purchase exams or events outside our usual area, we consider each case individually. Tell us about your project →

Opening hours
Outside working hours, we only attend emergencies for horses that are regular patients of the practice.

About me
I was born into a family devoted to breeding horses, which gave me first-hand knowledge of breeding, improvement and selection. In 2006 I set up on my own as an ambulatory equine practice, and I have been providing my services ever since, always keeping my training up to date.
During my degree I was a student intern in Ethnology, Ethology and Radiology, and at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Córdoba. During holidays I trained at European hospitals such as Equinia Hospital (Noorderwijk, Belgium).
I then completed an internship at the Centro Policlínico Veterinario San Vicente del Raspeig under Dr Manuel Alejandro Rodríguez, training in equine reproduction, ambulatory practice, intensive care and surgery. Later I spent time at leading hospitals such as the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, De Morette Hospital (Belgium), the Animal Health Trust (UK) and Three Counties Equine Hospital (UK).
Always with enthusiasm, care and a desire to keep learning.
